📐 LLD Guide: How Socketing Affects Item Level Requirements

We've all bricked a jewel or two learning the hard way. 
This guide is here so you don't have to — quick math to keep your best jewels safe and your builds LLD-legal.

1. Base Item Requirement 
Every item has its own required level. 
Example: Grim Helm (25), Crystal Sword (11).

2. Jewel Requirement 
A jewel's requirement comes from its highest affix. 
Examples: 
• +15 Maximum Damage = lvl 18 
• +7 Faster Hit Recovery = lvl 13 
• +20 Life = lvl 17

3. The Socketing Rule 
When you socket a jewel into an item:

⚠️ Note: The +1 applies only once — always based on the highest requirement of all jewels used.

🛠� Examples 
• Grim Helm (25) + Jewel of Carnage (+15 max, 18) 
→ max(25, 18) + 1 = 26

• Crystal Sword (11) + Jewel of Carnage (+15 max, 18) 
→ max(11, 18) + 1 = 19

✅ Quick Rule of Thumb 
• Identify the highest jewel requirement 
• Add +1 
• Compare it with the base item requirement 
• That's your final required level

🔹 Common Jewel Mods & Their Required Levels

Damage Mods 
• +15 Maximum Damage → lvl 18 
• +9 Minimum Damage → lvl 8 
• +9–14% Enhanced Damage → lvl 8–18

Life / Mana Mods 
• +20 Life → lvl 17 
• +9–15 Life → lvl 5–13 
• +20 Mana → lvl 17 
• +9–15 Mana → lvl 5–13

Resist Mods 
• +15 All Resistances → lvl 18 
• +30 Single Resist → lvl 13 
• +20–24 Single Resist → lvl 9–11

FHR / FCR / IAS Mods 
• +7% Faster Hit Recovery → lvl 13 
• +15% Increased Attack Speed → lvl 18 
• +10% Faster Cast Rate → lvl 18

Other Handy Mods 
• +6 Strength/Dexterity → lvl 18 
• +3–4 Strength/Dexterity → lvl 8–11 
• +15 Defense → lvl 13
